It has warmed up in Texas and I can get back to work.
Greetings Members, Any armouring tools you think I should be getting ready for the spring season? I bought materials, supplies and expendables from my last sales profit and I'm ready to go. The weather has warmed up and I'm getting tired of cabin fever. I finished all my video games and the wife is ...

Looks very nice. I like it.
I twisted my wire (two strands) with the electric drill.

Re: Seven Day Armouring Tool Auction. (Concluded)
Well this auction went quite well. I was going to ask $200 for that armouring multi tool anyway. However... Mastadonn already has one of my pipe stakes, so I substituted a medium planishing ball stake for the bonus tool. It works good for helms, spaulders, knees and elbows. We aim to please. Mastado...

Thanks for the pics I appreciate patinas.
I think it gives the armour character.
I like to use the Japanese Brown and Magic Black from Sculpt Nouveau.
A little scotch bright and oil can age it quite well.
Best of luck on your quest.
Hal.

Re: trailer ball hitch for stakes.
You are correct. I was at a flea market and was looking at steel balls about 3-3/4" in diameter. They were quite pricy as I recall. The proprietor told me they were civil war cannon balls. I said no their not, as they were oval due to obvious ball mill wear and would never work in a cannon. He insis...

Re: trailer ball hitch for stakes.
I think the hitch balls will work just fine.
You should be good to go with access to a lathe.
My first stake was machined from solid 6" diameter bar stock with a 3.75 radius.

Yes this pipe stake is also included in this auction.

They both will fit in the large flat rate box.
It was the tool holder that was not included.

I was thinking a final price of $200.00. I will auction this one off on the classifieds just to see what the market will bring. I will toss in the pipe stake shown to sweeten the deal. Check over on the classifieds for the auction it started at $100.00. http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB3/viewtop...
