Re: Positive review of Halberds *pic heavy*
I would think a planishing ball or a mushroom dome would work fine. http://home.armourarchive.org/members/halberds/3.5Mushroom.JPG http://home.armourarchive.org/members/halberds/OffcenterBall.JPG I would move the piece over the planishing stake's sweet spot, and use a highly polished planishing hamm...

Nothing new, I had bad trouble with my asthma.
Better now, I was unaware I had walking pneumonia.
The clinic fixed me up with two shots in the ass, enough to cure a grunt after 2 weeks R & R in Bangkok Thailand.
I will tinker on it some more and let ya know.
Thanks for asking.

Thank you for sharing. I have never gone beyond a spangen or welding a helm. That was one fantastic movie. You have a good taste in music also. I build custom armoring tools.
What diameter, how long and what size the shank.
This is a typical off-center planishing ball stake.

At your service.

I think Blindpunk wanted to look like the picture in the original post. Perhaps we should have told him about Stonekeep. His knees fit my shoulders and would make cool spaulders with the leather. It certainly takes dedication, time and expense to armour. As had been said... "One must have the fire i...

I do not use banding material, however that is a good idea.
I use stainless steel sheet cut on the Beverly.
The slot is made on the cutoff abrasive wheel.
My favorite has a 1/8" slot on one end and a 3/16" on the other.

Re: mig question
My favorite is the 25/75 for the MIG. That is all I use. I think the flux core and a cheap welder is frustrating with poor results. I gave up on TIG and returned my argon tank. I now have the most expensive Miller stick welder in town. :? I own the MIG tanks, as it is far cheaper in the long run. Oh...
