The problem I see a lot of people have with thrown weapons is gauntlets - They can really mess people up. With hockey gloves, it is pretty much impossible, from what I've seen.

I have finger gauntlets, MUCH easier to throw short spears in combat.

I can find info on blade length / style, but not the hilts/pommels. Any hints info anyone would like to share?

I'm guessing heavy Roman influance, but I could be wrong...

I don't beleive the rattan handle versions are legal in the Midrealm...

Rattan isn't allowed for thrown spears.

OWOWOWOWOW. I've been cup shot, but never had anything "unduely exciting" happen as a result. When I was still a squire, Duke Comar was spear fighting at a demo melee. Suddenly his spear got caught/grabbed so Comar pulled, and one of his squires fighting on the other side took a step towar...

Could be worse.... I know someone who had their cup crack, the crack "opened up" as it compressed, then snapped back "closed" with a bit of skin caught.... we'll just say - a tip of skin... NOBODY was willing to check the injury - but he said the bruise was "interesting"...

One of my kills with a thrown javelin was an archer in the wall battle. Right over the top of their crossbow, square in the grill.
