Oh, nearly every Pennsic there is someone who misses a shot I throw. So? Out of the "x" number of opponents I hit, a few miss a shot. No biggie - I bet every fighter on the field has the exact same experience, from the multi-crown winner down to Joe newbie at his first Pennsic. It happens. If I get ...

Maeryk - Is this a COMMON occurance? Or just once in a while? I've been stepped on when I tripped and fell, and the guy behind me just couldn't stop in time. I've been caught in a bunch of "dog piles" for the same reason. How do you stop this? Nobody falls down? Call hold everytime someone trips? Fi...

In tourney, I don't have a problem with my opponent just clearly yelling "good" and making some obvious signal that they are bested. In melee or an open field battle - fall down. It is the international SCA signal for "stop hitting me". Alternately, in a static battle - yell good, and GO BACKWARDS u...

For the Midrealm TOC, 30+ Knights and 100+ Unbelts isn't uncommon.

The one held in Columbus OH a few years ago had 52 Knights and 218 Unbelts.

Like I said - it was just a concept with a lot of work that would need done to flesh it out whole.... With relatively even sides, if the defender has unlimited resurrections and is allowed to set up a defensive stance in the town, the town may never fall. It would be even less likely to fall for the...

And to make it a little more of a hassle, especially if maille if cost prohibitive for the person making the kit?

I did it last March - 30 Mins on, 5 min break, 30 Mins on, etc....3 1/2 hours total. 3 hours 35 mins total, w/ breaks.

And yes, HOW you fight and WHO you fight matters - same guy for 30 mins? You're both tired at the end. A new opponent every 3 - 5 bouts is completely different.

A stern, but great undertaking. This wil be a fine pass upon the anvil for Pol.

I have fought 17 of that list - would that I had fought them all before I was Knighted, I would be a far better Knight today.

Strive well Pol.

Then host the SCA event or tourney you want - it is already happening. There is nothing that says you can't put a requirement on an event: "This event is a 14th century theme.
