Are you sure it's meant for a 28"head? I can't recall seeing anyone with larger than a 26" head and most are less than 24".

I wish it was my size, I'd buy it for a steel fencing helm, even if it only lasted a few seasons. I'd be afraid to try and fight in it, since steel fighting needs more padding than SCA.

I agree it's not illegal for them to copy his design, but copying it directly seems unethical. As for craftsmanship, I like WTC's gorgets and everything else seems of good quality to me and he has a reputation for good quality. Definitely nicer than the knock off versions in Australia.

Honestly, I've seen quite a few gorgets that looked almost exactly like that, to my eyes at least. If you hadn't pointed it out, I would never have assumed they copied your design so closely. Probably just a boot/leather conditioner would be fine. Are your straps starting to crack?

Uhh, if we're talking about leather straps, why not buy chicken, cook it and then use the fat from that? Or a leather conditioner might work.
