Re: Armour Archive Helm 7 day auction
I've used a 16 stainless helm before, your head gets thrown around badly. Had it dented a few times, now I have a 14 gauge stainless one, much happier. Would not want to wear a 16 mild hat. Maybe as an archer.

Re: Questions from a new guy.
Caius is being very practical once again, levelheaded chap that he is. I think I may have this printed up, maybe made into a poster. Don't think I've ever been called levelheaded before. Makes me happy. As for gorgets, for the longest time, I'd never seen one even remotely like mine before. It wasn...

Re: What does your armor bag/tote look like? I need one!
I personally just have a green army bag I picked up at a gun show. It holds my my entire armor except for my helm. I carry that and my swords/shields/spear/etc seperately. I also pack it so the legs go in first and then the gauntlets, demis, and bazerbands fit into the gaps and fill out the bottom....

For me, a gorget is right up there with a cup on the list of things I won't go on the field without. Maybe even more important. They might get testicular regeneration therapy down in 20 years, they won't get trachea regeneration therapy down in the next four minutes. Not to mention the whole spine d...

I'll pass on the harrow blade, I'd want a different handle arrangement for it. If you'll be so kind as to send me a total for shipping to 77708, I'd be obliged.

What he said, and please use something stiffer than leather on your gorget. I know I say this a lot but protect your neck. I'd never hear the end of it if I (or anyone else for that matter) killed you with a spear.

I'd suggest getting one of the brigandine leather ones. You can hide most under a tunic and have only the collar around the neck uncovered. Talbot sells patterns and I think Revival had some.
