I would explore your local metal supply store, they may have pre-cut 3/4" strips in like 20' lengths.

My arms are about 8 pounds total for both and would be fitted per your specs . I allready have mucho joint/rearbrace assemblies in stock along with rough shaped vambraces, would take me about an hour to finish them.
