I've got a few pictures prepped of the German armour. As MattB pointed out, We have an article on the two armours in the HE journal, pretty well describing the commissions. Here are the photos: I've done more work on the cuirass since these were taken, like rolling the edges and fluting the back. It...

Thanks, Gundo.

Did you click on both thumbnails on the armour's page? Both the front and back views on our site link to the full sized versions.

The full sized versions are as big as I have, since that's what the Frazier people sent me.

What's the wearer holding in his right hand in the rear shot? Other than that, very nice stuff. Has the guy you fit it to had a chance to work out in it yet? He works in a museum, he has to have his pass with him at all times. I do wish he'd put in inside the cuirass, tho'. I delivered this armour ...

My Milanese & German armours for the Frazier Museum

Since Otto was interested in seeing what I'm working on, I'll post some "in process" pics soon of the second armour I'm making for the Frazier Museum in Louisville KY. For now, I've just put the first armour up on our site under "Custom Work", and the thumbnail below links to the page. I hope you li...

RB- Go to Home Depot to the dowel department, should be near the mouldings. Get a 1-1/4" dowel, they come 4' long out here. Cut it with a saw to 3' long. Put it in the lance ferrule. The lance without the tip is only 94", that's 7 foot 10" long. If you remove the ferrule, it's only 90", only 7-1/2 feet. It'll fit under most ceilings, unless you're putting it on a riser or something.

Look for "full round moulding" from a Moulding or Hardwood supplier. Standard diameters are 1", 1-3/8" and 1-1/2", usually stocked in oak and soft wood. 1-3/8" diameter is usually called "closet dowel". 1-1/4" diameter is the best diameter, though I've never seen it as a stock size in hardwood. I've...
