More pics. In this, I had explained to her about a shield press, and she asked if she could make one, because she wants to make a curved shield. I said yes, and then it appeared my shop exploded. http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/7339/morriganpics001.jpg http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/273/morriga...

Doug, you have a lovely helm. I really respect the fact that you wish you had gone with a more accurate representation of that statue, but the helm turned out great. One thing to remember about using a home built suspender system is that they can restrict shoulder movement. Don't make them out of leather. Instead, do as the earlier poster suggested and simply wear some home depot (or Llowes, or true value, or whatever) elastic suspenders. And make sure that the ...

Changes in HYW Armor during the 14th Cent?

Guys, I don't know a thing about the hundred year's war, armor wise. Wait. That isn't entirely true. I know that there were bascinets, CoP's, globose breastplates, the occasional kettle hat. I am sort of thinking that a sugar loaf or two might be around too. And the famous "archer knees" B...

Farook,

If you are coming off an injury, take it slow and easy, be gentle with yourself, and talk to your doctor. "Toughing" your way through and injury is NOT the way to do it.

actually, the Chuckit device seems to take care of the safety issues. Nobody is going to be choked with the thing.
