Is 22g thick enough for youth helmet

The title pretty much says it all -is 22g steel thick enough to make helmets for youth (6-9) boffer combat?

That would be a really cool rule for a melee:

If you get killed by a "death from behind" then you must walk over to your opponants side and stay in a marked off ransom zone until your side buys you back, or another option is completed (like maybe 15 minutes.)

Hmmm.....

freiman the minstrel First let me say that I was not nitpicking at your post, I just wanted people to know my story. I moved to Memphis in 96 and I had a 50 gallon plastic shield with a canvas cover. The shield was 24" x 26" and I took a lot of slack from using it. This could be because I was doing ...

Death from behind...

Ok. I know a few kingdoms use the death from behind rules and I was curious:

1)what do you think of them and 2)do you like/agree with it?

I would say 15th century because I don't see too many people wearing the maille that would be a large part of pre-15th century armor.

This is assuming we ignore the 22nd century!

(^_^)
PS: My kit is 14th century transitional armor -again ignoring any 22nd century additions.

I was in Grey Niche for a year and a half and they always complained when I used it -it was just not allowed. As a matter of fact it was a Grey Niche event that wouldn't let me use itwhen I first moved down there -and I was a local fighter! (^_^) [This message has been edited by hjalmr (edited 06-17...

When I was down in Meridies I was told that they were banned because they gave the wielder an undo advantage. Now I explained that my plastic shield was wieghted as per middle kingdom rules to be the same wieght as a similar styled wooden shield, and I also had a canvas shield cover. But I couldn't ...

I tend to not eat at all before I fight -I save the feasting for after.

Now I have been playing around with eating before practices and such, but I don't like it as it makes me feel tired and lazy.

I have watched Holyfield since he was an amature, but we are all allowed our opinions.

As for Tysons pathetic attempt at being a good loser -HAH! He is only thinking about trying to get his license back in Las Vegas, as well as the rematch.

I don't think they are intentional, nor do I consider them to be part of his game. I will agree that they happen alot, but thats bound to happen when a smaller middlewieght fighter jumps up to a much bigger heavy wieght division. And I still say that Tyson headbutts more then Holyfield. He also elbo...

Lamillar and scale would be period and this was the armor worn in the holy lands (along with maille.) I think a good leather scale armor with some hints of roman influensh would be cool.
