It's a tiny bit slower, but a vinegar soak of the hot rolled will remove the gray coating... then you can sand it nice and not have the grind marks. just a thought. They are not actually grind marks but sanding marks from 60 grit sandpaper. A buyer would just need to go to a finer grit sandpaper or...
