I built a stand for an edwards slitting shear, and switched it over to a beverly when I got one. There are two wheels in front, wooden post in the back, and it is "portable" inside the shop since I'm a bit hard up for space. The box has several old coast guard buoy weights inside it so it ...

If you're going for traditional waterproofing I'd strongly suggest you check into fire discipline from an old army, or boy scout fieldbook.
There are reasons fire resistant canvas is popular for tents.

That is a worthy goal. Our company is requiring maille for the 30 at Pennsic next year. The next step is requiring it for harness. If I snipp about this subject, it is because of all the years I was told I didn't need so much armor to fight. To see it in print reminds me of my fall from steel to sp...

I use automotive gasket cement to glue in my liner - give it 48 hours to air out.
I use acetone based nail polish remover to take the lining out about once a year for replacement - gooey, but not a lot of work.

If he is carrying a large shield, and is left handed glue yourself to his right shoulder, and keep moving the fight to your left forcing him to turn in order to engage you - at that point his shield blocks most of his attacks against you. don't permit your opponent to have the fight he wants to have.
