$US. I should note that stick four is JUST starting to 'broom' a little on the tip, but a re-taping would save it.

Really, Xander, would it kill you to have them put your Dad's name on the box instead of yours? Not trying to alienate you, it's just that kids shouldn't be doing business with adults, because dumb stuff like this ends up happening. I'm not saying you are a kid, but (IIRC) Master Nim was 13 years ol...

New & used rattan, and baskets for sale
Well, spring cleaning has started, I'm moving and my Dad wants me to clear out his shop & the storage space I've taken over. There will be a bunch of stuff up for sale in the next few weeks, cause I have no use for it anymore. Here's the start. Found a metric shitload of old rattan, thought someone ...

At the root of this question is "Based on location, why are some fighters better than others?" It would much easier to answer this based on your own Kingdom. For example, the last, I dunno, ten kings of An Tir have been from the Seattle/Tacoma/Spokane area. Assuming that when someone is boning up fo...

Making a domed shield- picture this...
OK, here's the idea I came up with this morning in class... I build a wooden frame out of 2X2's, say a 30" square. Underneath, I nail a 2X4 straight across the bottom. Then I take a 30" round shield blank, cut from say 2 layers of 3/16" ply glued together. I screw it down to the frame at four points...

I had these made by the famous Alisdair several years ago, basically a Hedeby boot with a pointed instead of round toe. A pretty simple shoe that 'could have been'. Though I've worn them many times, they just don't fit quite right. ...

I'm very uninformed, but I think that the top of the dress looks a lot like an Elizabethan tabbed corset. I think the dressmaker was going for a sort of new/old look. I think a tux with a ruff and a muffin cap would look kinda cute with this ensemble http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/biggrin.gif ~Wil

Costume folks- looking for some fabric
I'd like to buy a little fabric, but I don't want to go through one of the online mail order companies (shipping, GST, PST, duty...), and can't find anything locally. 3 yards of green 100% wool, a nice muted green, not like a lime or emerald. Not olive drab either. Any weave will do (I don't re-enac...
