It is an expensive era to be a noble living up to LH standards. LH standards will requires silk, costly shoes, a $600 plus sword, and jewelry. Beyond that problem no one and I mean no one makes accurately made garb for the era. Ren/SCA 16th century stuff is accurate to a Jordan novel not the actual ...

Gwen That tent kicks ass. For a tent that is so common in the 15th century it seems odd that no tent maker carries them as a normal item. I guess they are not as appealing to the general public as a square or circular tent is. Flonzy ------------------ Cheap garb is as bad as plastic armor. http://h...

I have never bought into the split tunic at all. It makes since for maille because that is tighter fitting but tunics have big gores that make them 120 inches or more at the hem. Looking at the Maj Bible book I have, and having seen it at the museum twice last year I would say go with large gores. F...

I know that crepe is not until late 15th C at best. I don't know if jacquard is out for those eras but the pattern in the jacquard is most likely not period. I can't say for sure but the 1st and 3rd look possible, but I normally just use fulled tabby woven wool for pre 14th C. I have not found anyth...

You are allowed to put a buckler on your oppositions arm as long as you are going for a block not a punch. I do it all the time. Now you cannot hit in the body or helm with it.
