As to number 3, an official SCA armoured combat practice has to have a marshal present and notice in the local group newsletter or at a meeting. Other than that, you and your buddies can get together on your own an beat the living hell out of each other in any manner you like. Of course, not being a...

You mean the reddness by the back side of his armpit or next to that? I looks to be the top of his bare right leg.

Just how thick is the skin on a person's back?

My helm has brass rivets and is welded in between them. I don't see why sufficiently sized brass rivets wouldn't work. The only reason the armourer that made my helm started welding inbetween the rivits was shut up the marshals. It would be nice if the rules were more clear or listed what equivalen...

Obviously its "of structurally superior design and workmanship". That maybe so, but just wait til it gets inspected by that marshal that tends to see the attachment method and grill as not meeting that definition. I do think the over all look would be ruined by riviting the grill to the outside. I ...

That is a really nice looking helm. Impressive for his first attempt at armour. Though for an SCA helm, the grill has to be attached to the outside. A. 1. g. There shall be NO major internal projections; minor projections of necessary structural components shall be padded. All metal shall be free of...

can anyone figure out the logic of why we have to pad the weapon heads from master Jamie? I mean i can hit you with a 3 inch thick 6 ft long piece of RATTAN but i have to put foam on a rubber axe head? I hadn't realized the Twilight Zone was a kingdom... That's like padding a padded polearm!

Re: Steel Prices Might Rise :(

We do have other ports that can take up the slack. I live on the St. Lawrence Seaway. There has already been an increase in shipping due to rerouted ships. There is already talk of extending the shipping season, the seaway frezzes over in winter, to accomodate the increased traffic.

You could also have it strapped the other way, vertical. That way you can easily hold the reigns of the horse, have your off side protected, and still have an arm free for swinging a sword.

If you want center grip usage, just grab both arm straps in one hand.
