Mine buckle on each side with front over lapping the back by a plate or so. I find it alittle difficult to buckle myself in, mainly the top buckle on each side, but I can do it. I've just used the cleaning cycle. About an hour or two. I've only gotten a purple to dark purple color this way. After the helm cools abit, I wipe the helm down with wax and boiled linseed oil. The helm arrived this morning. Box looked like UPS had tried for a field goal attempt from Texas. The helm is fine as it was well packed with lots of packing peanuts and well, it's metal. Thanks.

Crosshilt, gauntlets or just gauntlets.
You'll need gauntlets for spear and long axe anyway.

Got the domain name. Only for one year though, no sense in paying for more if there is not website in the works. I'll renew for two year if there is a current website when the renewal comes up next year.
