I thought I would revisit this having used the mace for a few months now. The mace head was coated with Rhino lining and tool dip. The outer tool dip layer has not held up. Where the mace head has impacted the tool dip has rubbed off. Around the edges of these areas, the tool dip is loose and easily...

I listed a couple below. I don't recall anyting about lamellar, but it's been awhile since I researched it and not out of the realm of possibility as it was used by the Byzantine and moslem armies. The Normans were in the Southern Italian penisula since the early 11th century drawn by the conflicts ...

What Raito said. Sometimes it is just far too cold in the frigid Winter around here. My shire's practice are also Tuesday nights so we have limited evening light most of the year. Our Summer practices are all outside, we have no other choice. Rain or shine, we're out there in the Summer. The rest of...

Why would their be a problem? Do you have one and have a marshal look at it and go "Well, I don't know. Might need some hose on that edge."? They have rounded edges that will not cause much damage to rattan as required. Not to mention, if the edge does fail, unlike an aluminium shield, wil...

Hey, that looks real nice. Though, I see what you mean about the cross on the large pictures. Though from a distance it should look like the smaller size pictures. It really does look close to antiqued brass. I'm working on the same kit myself. Only it is mild, which will be blackened, with a stainl...

You need to remount your crosshilt arms so the straps above the cross are on the side of the blade. The way they are now, the straps are on the blade. Can't have metal on the blade edge.

You're right to be upset. You got cheated by the marshal. Your opponent accepted the thurst to the face as good. It is over an done now. Only advise I can give is next time, should this happen, ask your opponent if the shot was well and truely good. It is their call after all. If they still maintain...
