A well done rebuilt motor will usualy outlast a new one. the trick is the well done part. Rebuilds on smaller motors (read less than 7-1/2 horse) are usualy more expensive than a new motor. If you put the butt end against your helm (using it as a fulcrum) you can get a wicked amount of torque out of the bladed end
