Re: Whitney punch problems

I have had my roper whitney punch XX bench mounted for a few years and the set screw that holds in the male punch die has eroded so it no longer holds the die in. Anyone know where I can get a new set screw as I cant find one at Lowes or the fastener store that supposedly has it all? Is it standard...

So that no-one looses an eye, everyone on the field must wear mesh over any hole in a helmet larger than 6mm (1/4") is any dimension. The best mesh is a commercial security product called "crimsafe". m I believe if this were put into effect, there would only be CA people on the field...

One other thing you can do is make an accumulator for a smaller compressor. I built one for my cousin using old 100# size LP gas tanks.

What you are effectively doing is making larger volume storage tanks for your compressor.

Hmmm, yeah. I've seen a few websites (and ebay) selling cheap (under $100) but decent looking 18 gauge helms. Far too light for SCA, but might be perfect for foam? You might try evilBay. Or hjalmr might be able to do something in 18... so, no bar grill and no sharp edges. Drop hjalmr a line.

Current kit- $300 for the helm, 150 for the aventail. 140 for the new steel gauntlets. 15 for the weight belt and about 40 worth of leather.... Overall, another 1½K or so. This is over 10 years, and of that overall total includes 3 other helms, 1 of which I wear solely for Pas. It's my 'fancy helm'
