Any ideas about how to build a sca shield that is designed to break after a certain amount of punishment to it? So many people bitch about indestructible shields and how it makes the game so unrealistic yadda yadda,etc,etc..... My idea would be cow rawhide(fairly thick stuff) a outer rim of ply woo...

From Legio, HG Rangvaldr's split rattan http://www.legiodraconis.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=336&page=1 I've been using split since it became legal in Mid. I like the balance and have never had a problem of anyone accepting a blow.

Aahh.. ok. I knew that they had to be authorized and wear Heavy Combat armor. I, for some reason, thought that they had to engage if confronted. Not non-contact scouts anymore either I personallly like it as I don't have to worry about a lighter gauge helm getting hit by my mighty swings!!
