Our armors can take really hard hits. I posted videos with crash tests on page 1.
They are designed for any kind of foam weapon fighting.
I tested a set of plates in steel weapon buhurt personally. It protects well but the surface crumbles.

I have seen his torture tests and his stuff has been approved by the SCA kingdom of Caid for light duty heavy jousting. Faulds are articulated, the main part made as one piece.
