Defence before Attack,
Shield is for Defence,
Sword for Attack,
Lure your opponent into disadvantage with footwork, for footwork is the key,
Strike when ready.

At your waist, rather than your current row of separate fabric dags, try a scalloped/dagged band of light leather, attached to the cuirass. I think it will be an easy and quick improvement.

Not sure what prompted it, Fleeces are fairly comon in provincial heraldry in New Zealand, so that may have been a part of it.

Red and White, common as mud in english heraldry.
