Thumb and fingers caught the haft, (Enclosed Thumbtips are so clever!) and my blow rode in all the way down his haft. But thanks for the Compliments. Next steps, New Spaulders, Finger G...

For paint, I have been reccommended, and have used,a Latex based paint.
It has been variously described as:
Exterior Latex paint,
Masonry paint,
Kitchen & Bathroom paint.
Thin it with water, and paint straight onto the canvas.
see www.greydragon.org for plenty of Tent-fu advice

I must Echo Sir Bryce. Learn to love Shakespeare, (Too late, but gives a fine feel for rythm, metre and phrasing) Brannaghs film versions are good. Read the White company, and Sir Nigel. I would like to see something like this run as many different events other than one big melee. <Snip> What I would love for it to become, is a standard and a mindset so that people at other events can have thier own Golden Rope events... Any period, any culture, just a high fidelity event. Believe ...

SCA, Pennsic Battle of the 3,000.
Firstly, I pray that some great prince, or man of influence in the Middle or East will take this idea up, as I am unable to do so, by reason of my location, and lack of station. Consider a main engagement at the Pennsic War. Not for any war point, and With No Kingdom alliegances but with everyone gr...

I belive it should be done as a method of controlling your opponent's weapon to allow you to dispatch them. I grasp a haft when in close, so I can choke up and Kill with my own p...

The true issue is this. As for authenticity, there is no difference between stainless and plastic. Neither of them have been dug out of the ground and are being used. If your pretend stainless armor is better looking than someone else's pretend armor, who cares. Alric By defining Authenticity so st...
