I know that maille is legal in Meridies, and I assume it's legal in the other kingdoms as well. Gambesons and kidney protection might be required as well, but the maille itself isn't banned Society wide, and I sincerly doubt any kingdom has banned the use of the armour we are all supposed to be wear...

Kronos, That is a nice helm for about $100. Personally though, I wouldn't pay more than 150. Mostly becuase of the rough look and the lack of any particular form. You might want to look at getting a couple of the predished helm halves to put together. That would drop your labor down a good bit. Pers...
