Very cool indeed. Have you thought about putting wheels on it? Having wheels on your trebuchet make a considerable improvement in the overall distance you can achieve. Our trebuchet can be found at http://geocities.com/podpix/weapons2.html . It was a real blast making this thing and testing it out. ...

What would this cost?
What would a hauberk for a medium sized person (mid length sleeves, mid thigh length shirt) using 3/8" 16ga stainless steel links in a king's maille pattern cost? Pure insanity, right? My roommate has delusions of making one and is looking to buy the wire sometime soon. I think he's nuts. So, what w...

Using a Train to Make Riveted Maille
This is just another crazy/illegal/stupid idea I came up with this morning. So, I'm driving to work today and as I pass a train station, it suddenly dawns on me - why not use a train to flatten the links for riveted maille? I mean, people do it with pennies all the time and they get nice and flat. H...

What are you using to cut the rings with? Many armourers have found that aviation snips (available at most hardware stores) work well for getting a nice flush butting. The aviation snips produce butts like // and things like bolt cutters product butts like >< The former of which butt together more n...

No, your prices aren't too high - mine are far lower than what the pieces are actually worth. Why? Mainly because we haven't established a reputation yet, and some people seem more at ease ordering from someone with average-high prices when they know they're going to get a good product. A newbie to ...

Just make sure it's dry before you shove it in a bag or other storage container. It will still rust, but it's not going to instantly rust out and rot your leather. Hmm...I think I should take my CoP out of the trunk of my car then. I fought in it in January...when it rained...and haven't taken it o...

Sure, I'd like to make $80-100 on every coif that I sell. I'd like to be able to get a money order for $400 for a hauberk, but at this point I just can't. For me, having lower prices than I know I am worth is a sacrifice that will hopefully lead to good reviews and more customers. My long-term goal ...
