If I had started armouring a year earlier and wasn't engaged to be married, I'd apply in a heartbeat. What a great opportunity for someone. Best of luck to you folks in finding someone to fill the position. http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif ------------------ Because anyone less than a Swor...

Lamellar and maille are indeed easy, and the visual and protective rewards are great. However, they do take a long time to make and a lot of people I know want instant gratification when working on their armour. Something they don't have to work on for 4 straight months in order to look decent. I pl...

I don't care how how many holes you want to drill into a lexan faceplate, that sucker's gonna fog up after 5 minutes of running around in the woods. Besides, what if you sneeze while wearing it? Hey Rob, welcome to the Fold http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif If I may make a suggestion for your ad, take off the part about the galvanized rings never rusting. I think the lifespan of the galvanized rings before rust is about 10 years. That's what Mad Matt told me a while ago. He's norma...

Perhaps its the distance at which the pictures were taken, but I'm having trouble seeing the scale of that scale kilbanion. From this distance, it looks more like a brigadine. Got a better, close-up pic? Alright, alright, I'll post a pic of my lady in armour... [img]http://rollingstone.com/content/8...

I've never dealt with Ice Falcon, but I think he has a sale on 12ft lengths of rattan right now. I purchased two 8ft lengths of rattan from HH Perkins about 3 weeks ago and was very pleased with service and quality.
Good luck.

Now Where I do have a problem is with those that use it and preach for the advantages of being lighter, they're experianced fighters but their heart is not in the spirit of the game. I'm not saying this to anyone in particular, but this is responsive to a certain "vibe" I get from people who justify bargrills... Why kid yourselves? There are a half dozen period examples of bars being used over a span of different centuries - this is surely not enough to try to justify its mainst...

Ever since I started dishing with an oxygen tank and 3lb sledge, I don't think I'll ever go back to a stump. I dished a 14ga spaulder into a nice smooth finish in no time. I've been doing my part to keep the ugliness away from our armour too. I have three items to mention. 1) I FINALLY finished my armour!!!!!! Yeah! Kick ass! I've been working on it every weekend for 8 hours a day since October . 2) I have everything I need to fight on Tuesday except gauntlets and a shield. I was able to tape up some rattan, round the tip, and get a suit...

I don't have his email address handy, but Abaddon here on the archive can make a nice axe head. Do a search for him and you should be able to find him.
