If you're leaving because Sasha called you a Gerbill's Ass, then you're simply too sensitive to begin with.

I think the "turnover rate" of archivers would be much less if people who read something inflammatory could just say: "Whatever" and click on the next subject.

I actually made an entire CoP this weekend using brass round head rivets on steel washers over the leather. I used 3/16" by 3/8" round head brass rivets and #10 washers. It took me exactly 6 hours from the time I marked the leather for cutting to the time I had it buckled up and walking around the y...

Nothing good will come of legal action that you can't resolve right now. If you continue with the claim you've got, you'll more than likely just get your final bid money back, as shipping is something the seller had no control over. If you just email him and tell him, "look, I'm tired of dealing wit...

After that test, I wholefartedly agree with you Mr. T(om). The pop rivets blew faster than a White House intern. The steel rivets still held though.

In conjunction with Sasha's responsive post, I just wanted to say that when I was learning how to make a segmented breastplate, I looked at _a lot_ of pictures and tried to figure out how it was made. Well, I wanted to get some leather for a coat of plates and some straps, so I checked around and found Brettun's Leather Village which can be found at http://www.brettunsvillage.com/leather . Altr0s captured it, essentially. 3 blows to the front or side of the neck (as counted by one of the four judges watching the match) means you are "dead." They are supposed to simulate decapitation which, to my knowledge, nobody has successfully survived http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif

I'd like to take credit for this, but it's my dad's handiwork. He's been making armour for about half my lifetime.
