I agree with ditching the rubber mallet. One of the reasons that your metal is only getting dished so shallow is because the steel is only being forced around the radius of the rubber mallet head and since those are more flat than they are round your pieces are much more shallower. Here's just a qui...

Rumor has it that there's going to be a little bit of fighting going on and I'd like to get in on that http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/wink.gif That said, is there anyone here would who like to meet me on the field of battle ...

Who is going to Mists Games?

It's June 8th in Vallejo, CA. Anyone planning on attending? I'll be there, but I won't be fighting. This will be the first event we're merchanting at! http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif I understand that it will be somewhat small in comparison to other events around here but this should be a...

While the tournament IS a Swordsman-only event, non-members will be all...

Glad to hear they arrived Aaron. I didn't do too much to them; I just added the big ol' cuff (which was more of a pain than I thought), strapped and padded them, and loosened up the articulation a bit. That right gauntlet should move a lot better now. Hope they work out for you.

I'm working on a 16ga 1/4" stainless camaille right now. Here's how I made it: 1. I first made 6 strips of 4-1 that were a little over 30" long 2. I hooked them all together so that I had a rectangle of maille 6" x 30" 3. I added my expansion rings on the bottom row. 4. I counted all the rings on th...

Advance Notice - West Coast Hammer-In

No fine details set up yet, but we're going to be hosting another Hammer-in this year in Salinas, CA on the weekend of September 14-15. Last year, Frederick the Heavy, Garridan, Alec, and a few of our guys showed up and we pounded metal and had a great time. I even played whack-a-doof with my sister...
