Rev., that's because big boys are smart enough to just throw on a coat of plates. NOBODY wants to dish out a breastplate to fit big guys like us. Besides, they only make sheets of steel so big, ya know Image

Since it's 16ga stainless, 5/16" would be very adequate and 1/4" would be damn near indestructible. I'd go for the 1/4", myself.

Yes, taking care of the tank's dishing bowl will really help you out in the long run. The edges of those little pits can really scratch up your work, so I'd recommend taking an angle grinder with flap wheel to it and grinding out the small pits. For the larger pits, or where they have numbers stampe...

Need pics of gothic leg armour please

The more authentic, the better Image

I'm going to be making myself a pair of nice gothic style legs and slowly developing my fighting harness into all gothic stuff instead of my current transitional harness.

Thanks ahead of time.

SCA legal gauntlet question

From the West Kingdom rules: "The outer surfaces of the hand and wrist, of both arms must be covered by either one or a combination of the following, or equivalent. Is 16ga aluminum good for much?

I recently got my hands on a quarter sheet of this stuff (Thanks Unc!) and cut out a pair of finger gauntlets from it, which are being used for ren faire wear.
