Wes, in Ansteorra the side-sword experiments is getting a lot of support from the armoured and rapier communities. They are starting to allow percussive cuts to the body, do full body targeting for thrusts, and most of the rapier fighters in my area of the kingdom research and interpret heavily from...

The problem is two-fold in my experience: 1. Vambrace is too long. The vambrace should come down to about 1"-2" above the bones of the wrist. The area between that and the back of the hand should be covered by a gauntlet or demi-gauntlet with good flexibility. 2. Vambrace is not attached to the shou...

So a 10" wheel on a 1800 RPM buffer would only give you 4800 FPM or so.... Not really sufficient? Also, not really keen to add another two phase source to my house http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/smile.gif Although I could always interrupt the dryer.. Buffer Opinion Wanted

How big of a difference is having a 1800 RPM versus the 3600 RPM buffers going to make. The reason I ask is that there are several Baldor Buffers on EBAY for reasonable prices.
