My two cents... before hardening, the metal is softer and more pliable, easier to deform permanently. After hardening, its sands and polishes easier due to the increased brittleness. Another Blatant Armour Pic
Well, I finished these up earlier this week as a auction donation. They are 4130 hardened steel crusader elbows. They are medium sized (just barely fit me) and weight a total of four ounces...
