Hydrochloric (muriatic) acid is indeed much more dangerous than the vinegar. Unless your in need for speed, I'd suggest the vinegar bath overnight.

I firmly believe that a sword without a thrusting tip is foolish. That being said, being dependent upon any ONE attack mode, be it thrust or cut, is a disability, and should be overcome.
