The Frappr model is probably always going to work better, since it is a community generated source, rather than a centrally managed one. Frappr will ultimately contain "dead" sources, b...

Re: Shields without hose.

A squire of Atlantia recently built a wooden shield with rounded edges. Over the shield he glued a thick canvas cover so that no splinters could ever fly out...why would this type of shield come a microfiber from being bounced at an event? Any ideas? Lack of training and an ability to properly eval...

I personally plan on declaring private war on Ealdormere because they sing too much. I'm not kidding. If Felix lets me do it I'll plan a private raid, showing up at one of their melee events with a group of fighters and two kegs of quality beer. If they win, they get both kegs. If I win, they get o...

Super Fun Tournament this weekend

Went to Dragonfire Tor's Guardian of the Tor event this weekend. 4 HOUR BEARPIT.

5 Counted blows.
No shield bigger than 18" in diameter.

As you might guess, *my* legs are a bit bruised....

some of other guys, well, they are worse off :)

Totally fun, and exhausting...

You won't like it, but shave.

Anwhere you gots lots of hair (head, pits, groin), them's places you loose a lot of heat. The hair helps keep the heat in. Lose the hair, and loose the heat.

I've seen lots of Ansteorrans who hold their sword almost vertical and right next to their face, to block the offside helm. This means power generation can be a problem, since their hand is forward.
