I love it!! Do you hot work the 304? Or anneal it at all during the process? I'm very interested in the process. If you have have build photos posted anywhere here on the forum please post the link.

I prefer the fluting from the front myself, much more controllable and faster. do you have a link to a video or pictures showing the process of setting the flute from the top? I've always done it from the back and am interested to know what type of stake configuration you use to line it up properly.

I use a 20 lbs Oxy/Propane setup with a gas saver, T-Rated hoses and a large cutting head. I would not call this a light patina. This falls into the heavy/pitted patina category. I doubt that the helmet shown ever had a mirror polish. I would guess that they achieve that by sanding the helmet without planishing fully. They basically are roughing out the shape of the helmet using heat and ...
