Just tossing out numbers on what I'd fork out without too much thought. Would like to know weight/thickness of leather and hardening technique (i.e. glue, water, heat, polymere, etc.). At least $45 .. $60 easy. With the details on simple hardening $65-75. If it's good solid stuff not needing much up...

I think the wraps I'm using are 9'+ long (rolled & un-rolled like bandages/ace wraps when I put them on off). Suspect the hook/tie/tuck method is all based on which you prefer. Hell a military powder coated coat/safety pin would work fine as well and nobody would notice (I got mine from my ammo ...

So the arming coat is worn with or without a pourpoint, but regardless I'm in for a HUGE amount of time sewing holes into my arming coat. It's like polishing boots .. takes a bit at first to learn, but once you have the hang of it, it's a great relaxation gig. p.s. start at the arm pits and add mor...

I'm thinking you are discussing using wool wraps for knee padding/support, yes? If so, I have wool wrapped over linen done in as taped for athletic support (x wrap with upper & lower bands) and a hook to hold them in place. It takes a few test wrappings to find where the correct place to start t...

If you use quarter swan white oak you can get down pretty well 1/4 with a cross layer and be very sturdy. Might want to do some research though and see if you can cross layer with a different wood to give it some flex/support.
