Not cleared to harness up (still ... grrr....) but will be out. Simple 'camp' most likely. Going to give a good shot at the 14th C. encampment discussed in other thread .. maybe get some work done on those dread arming/breathing holes on my arming coat I've been avoiding. Well, at least when I'm not...

You and I have crossed blades Malcolm. I know your worth. I know the worth of those that followed you as warlord of the Ring as both a Sergeant in the line when we were both on the field and as a staff officer in the Midrealm. Any who would feel you were doing less for bringing the Tribe to greater ...

here's a pic (both myself and HRH Nigel using the french pole axe head) of them in action. I trim the 'inner edge' of mine to match the curve of my polearm shaft then silicone glue them on with strapping tape to help hold in place. I've only lost the head once and that was after an incident with bee...

<snip> I think if someone like Iain (not trying to volunteer you for the work), did offer to take the reigns, people like myself would certainly put forth a great effort of support to help it go over, any way we can. <snip> Hmm ... I sometimes wonder if just a simple step forward would help. Settin...

I'd be interested in giving it a go. Maybe some other events as lead in/practice, say Gulf, AE War Practice, Blackstone Raids, etc. are ones I know I'd be at. Could have 'The Encampment' be rotating as well. Various people start it out at their local areas and at the 'larger' events the various 'maf...

Ummm . wait wasn't last year the first time the English had won at Pennsic with the French dominating prior? Alas, the active one is already pre-packed ...
