But as I've aged I've adopted the USACIDC motto although I don't recall off the top of my head the latin for it...

Throw a set of knees on those and I'd drop $250 without batting an eye for 'em. Lighter weight low maint gear in period style would work good over a decent cloth soft kit for repeated practices and beatings. Just tossing out my 2 dinar ...

Yup yup ... Duke Bardolph had a batch of examples through various time periods for his class on them at this past RUM. I primarily remember them used alot for footmen v. horse (not saying exclusive but most of the examples were on foot). Might ping him for a list.

Got my sets as well .. ordered one for wear under a set of Duke Gavin's (Kilkenny's) hardened cuisses for sport wear .. and they've done a fine job at these past few practices. I picked up a 2nd set which I left the leather cops on for dress gear.

What info do you need aside from colour preference to make one of these Sir Vitus? Blade length, diameter, etc? And if some add'l hardware were provided (i.e. period buckle, other ornamental hardware/stiffners/etc. for the belt, etc.) could they be added during the construction process?
