Well, since Murdock is a weathervane I often use and since I'm finishing the fitting pinning on Klaus' mockup for the one he's doing for me ... I'll claim one of the slots if they haven't been filled. If you can shoot some of the pics for the variety/styles I'd appreciate. Yeah, yeah ... I have mult...

I am soooo jealous I didn't catch those when they went up for auction! Already have a set of brig. cuffed ones but those are just tooo tastey! As for the fleur castings, put me down for 10-15 little and 10 big ones. If you and Stud Buckle ever got a good working agreement on those D buckles, let me ...

Fought in a batch of stuff. First thing I'll advise ... DONT TRY TO DO PERIOD WORK IN COMBAT BOOTS! Cost me $10,000 in a rebuilt ACL that the Univ. of Mich. sports sureon directly attributes as the cause. Modern boots are designed for foot plant and stability & 'footing'. Moving in a period (or even...

I've used one for years at Pennsic. Don't fill 'em up all the way and be sure to soak the carrier and bladder the night before in your beer cooler (hopefully you have a sanitary one). Hides nicely under my gambeson & surcoat and should do well under my jupon this next Pennsic. Tube and mouthpiece ar...

Yup yup. My Doc had me fitted into a DonJoy Defiance III pro knee brace to use whenever fighting or hard sports. Low profile and poly carbonate so very light. Although the tech doing the fitting noted I would have bones breaking before the brace would break from impact. If you've had an ACL replacem...

That must have been so painful to go that long!! You've got to have a high pain tolerance level! As for the fighting for the 2 years on it, I w...

I agree wholeheartedly about Angus, but no offense to Murdock--whom I hold in great esteem--the other captain should be a dubbed knight. I nominate Sir Vitus. In his absence perhaps Sir Felix or Sir Phillip or Sir Nigel. Given that the we've discussed barring SCA regalia that does not conform to hi...

I may even know of a fellow over in the Lansing area who is interested depending on what RL has in store for him in the near future. If he can't make the first session, I suspect there will be enough in the SCA equestrian and heavy communities to get a 2nd class running.

Hmm ... never thought of doing something like that. All my arm harness have been pointed on the back of the upper arm (on a 'flat' area of the transition area). This was mainly to keep the rotation down to minimum (rapid arm movements really want to torque the armour about) but I'm always one for 'f...
