If everything else is legal < ie 1" bar entering all gaps an such, and jaw being secure < ie welded>> i would say yep, legal < imo >. Think if people wearing pig faced klapvisors on basinets < more glancing surface sure, but can still get a square on hit >. I'd check with your kingdom earl marshall....

Greetings, He may be correct. All openings into the face cannot let a 1" dowel or eq. enter the helm. On the liner, suspension liners are legal providing they give adaquate protection. In most reigons in the sca, chest and even shoulder protection is a "highly recommended" but not mandatory. When using , especialy, sword and shield you rarely get hit in the chest and shoulders. The wide wrap tends to come into play in later era's armor. We tend to use it for the 3 points of the knee protection we're required to have < SCA >.
