This would be a particularly good helm for wearing over a close fitting bascinet or skull cap. It's light weight and strong. They work farily well. The larger plates are alot more ridgid then the thinner plates. Black and Brown seem to have the most astetic look to them.

I've been leveled by a more then adaquate "touch" to the face before, albiet a 9' spear. For safety concerns < my own safety that is > I take pretty much any thrust to the face that moves my helm or I notice, witch ever one comes first.
