Cat, With the dished portion on the top, I tend to cut rounded triangles at the top and sew them either together to form the dish, or tie them together somewhat like a suspension liner. I did this with my sugar loaf and it worked fairly well. As far as cutting through your stiches, yep, sure do. I j...

The face and top are attached via pin and hole on the back and the face is buckled around the back also. Gives the apperance of a coif but is not. Lord Aurther of Bl...

Sarnac, We have a Knight here that uses a curaiss out of them. In his opinion, they realy don't protect worth a crap, but they do look pretty nifty. They are conciderably thinner then the newcastle, but also alot smaller and look more "real". If you do end up using them, I'd realy suggest using some...

I've even tried quenching it to see if that works (like on brass) but still no positive results.~Arty heyya, Remember quenching non-ferrious metals < ie Brass > will soften it. Opposite on Ferrious metals <ie; Stainless Steel >. Letting it sit for a while will/should normalize the metal allowing it...

I will agree talon's gauntlets are very very nice. Work great and have nice protection. I use a camp mat base behind the hand and wear street hockey gloves inside and don't even feel a thing when smacked. Master Glendor did send to England, but to an APO address which is looked at by the USPS as a U...

No finger wagging, Gwen. I'm just trying to find a way to stop the chaus droop syndrome. Jehan, squire of Sir Vitus Garders. They work wonders. While I made my own, I do remember seeing them on the HE website. Almost totally eliminates the "droop" effect, which I would imagine, our forefathers/moth...

If the lacross glove is deemed to have equal protection to a hockey glove, they he would be very legal by SCA.org minimum rules. No vambrace is required < strongly suggested > but not required. Cheers Sixtus <mind you I wouldn't be caught on the field w/o some kind of forearm protection, or hockey/l...
