First Fighter Practice
Attended my first actual fighter practice tonight in the Outlands < mundane Colorado and other states >. It was grand. For a change, I fought more then 2 people < normal fighter practice where I Was at >. For only being a 2 hour fighter practice, it was a sure fire workout. Not to mention going from...

To be a BIT more precise, the shield can be any size you want. Kingdom rules may vary, see below. According to SCA INC rules < whom is the main umbrella >, that is Except Australia and I think Finland whom are both incorporated though there own countries incorporation laws. Ogier, if this is your ow...

Hello... All is not lost. Drill 8 holes in your cop. One on the center top, one on center bottom one on each side of them and 1 on each side centered twards the side edge . You now have 3 on top and 3 on bottom and one on each side. Make a strap from the side edge to the side edge < this will hold t...

I seem to remember a certain King spitting up about 1/2 his beer after you saying that. Was one of the funnies damn things I've heard personally.

Hello, Lesse, Ashcraft/Baker hilts, no problems... strong as all get out, but very heavy. No problems with breaking. Cross Hilt and Gauntlets, Bad form caused me to blow out my elbow, so i don't go that route anymore < at least for the time being >. Illusion Aluminium Basket Hilts. Well, they rock. ...

Thats Drachenwald. Each form a different Authorization. Except spear... that has 2. One for Fiberglass and 1 for rattan. However, if you get authorized in FG spear, it carries a rattan authorization with it. So lesse, Weapon and Shield, Pole weapon, Great Weapon, 2 Weapon, PF Spear and Rattan Spear....

Hello, I have started using a centerboss oval. I though the same as you with the hand protection. I use a demi-gauntlet, but when the axis is pushed twards your sword side it would expose my knuckles. I built a leather "box" around the handle that my hand sets in. When the shield pivots, the box rot...

Wow, guess I'm just kinda shocked. The only supply that I'd think needs to be "stocked" would be the auth cards themselves. The admin fees, if the authoirzing marshalls themselves did it, would be negligible. Of course if every marshall has the potential to authorize someone, I could see where a cen...

Depends on kingdom, in Atlantia if you're on the recently expired list you just pay your 5 bucks and fill out the forms. I think recently expired is within a couple of years. You could try to find an email for the East Kingdom MOL and get advice. Maddalena Excuse my ignorance. What is the $5 charge...

Hello, I'll chime in here, I've made 2 aketons for myself. The best way I've found if you are going to quilt layers is, lay the fabric < already shrunk as much as possible > and quilt a section. Cut out pattern needed, Rinse and Repeat. I found it very difficult to judge the shrinkage the quilting w...
