Talbot, The vervelles are actually the drawer pulls from horton brasses The spring pins are cool, but they stick a bit. I think i need to taper them a bit. The pins sit flush in the holes, but the angle changes as the spring flexes and the pin angles forward and then they stick. Does that make any s...

Cad (Chuck Davis) update. I found him!
Actually, Sigeric did. Cad is setting up in one of his apprentices shops as we speak. Chuck emailed me a couple of weeks ago to let me know what was going on and I just got this PM from Sigeric. "Hello Garreth, I don't know if Cad has ever gotten back to you, but I thought I would give you a quick u...

I got mine from Randal, one of Cad's apprentices. The fauld is a solid piece, and you can cut it into whatever configuration you desire. I plan one doing the hoop style faulds myself. I have not seen him post in quite a while, you might try his email address. Here's an old thread with pictures of th...

Martin, There was a group order very recently to have a batch of these laser cut. m Maybe someone has extras to sell, once they come in. I know Adam has made them by hand in the past, I would think they would be relatively easy to make, as they are only 20 gauge. A whitney punch would speed up the p...

Mike, I appreciate the fact that you have emailed Chuck several times regarding this matter. I have not recieved any responses from any emails i have sent for the last 5 months. I am a bit distressed as well. I am not out to trash his reputation, or anything of the sort. He is a good guy and an incredible artisan. I have no doubt I will get the helm, the question is when? I understand all of the life changing events that he has gone through. He moved to be closer to his mot...

Mike,
I'm no expert, but Admiral Steel seems to be the most commonly cited source.
