I actually made a pair for my wife & I at the same time so to get them even I clamped our four sides together and cut through them all at once (okay... tried to cut through them all.... I got through 3.25 of the 4). This may help understand the construction process. I also put trim along the fro...

Freiman, I have no idea what I did with my pattern for this since I don't think I ever uploaded it electronically. I took the pattern for the Terafan Chairs and images I'd seen here on the archive (like the ones InsaneIrish at ABC makes) and came up with my own "Medieval-oid" high bred cha...

I've had a couple questions regarding shipping so here is what my best estimate would be. The shield itself measures roughly 18" wide, 34" tall & 2 1/2" deep. Given Vitus estimate of about 10 lbs I figure with packaging it should be no more than 12. UPSP Priority Mail (2 day shipp...

Vitus shield for sale

I bought one of Vitus's shields back in December and it has done a fine job occupying a corner of my dining room ever since. Given my hectic work schedule and the number of other projectrs on my current back log I will not get to this any time soon. Given that I'm sick of moving it out of my way I w...

The winner of the Bear Pit was Lord Drugar Mensch, the Hael's very own knight marshal! I remember when he picked up that goofy double headed ax/sword form and I used to walk him all around the room. Then I didn't make practice for a while and came against him in a Summers End tourney and had stabbed...

glad to see some archivers coming up to my little Barony even happier to see someone will be there selling armor! Ice Dragon can be hit of miss with armorers, sometimes we have six and sometimes we have none. Seems like a shame because we regularly have around 100 fighters depending on the weather. ...

best advice: when you do your pell work..... wear at least your arm harness. Mad Matt always has them in stock. I've never bought a shield boss from him but I do have other armor of his and he's got a solid reputation. Look for Mad Matt on the Archive, their is a link to his web page in his sig line.

Corwin, I once had a legal issue with an armor that took six years to deliver a helm & legs. What would have happen...

Gregory I don't think it's an issue of what it's worth from a time and materials stand point, I think that the SCA is just the wrong market place for this item for one reason.... you are 6 feet tall with a 38" chest.
