given that stainless is harder the mild you can usually get away with going one gauge lower in stainless then mild, so in my mind 18g stainless is equal to 16 g mild. just my opinion. I wouldn't wear finger gauntlets that didn't wrap deep enough to contact the rattan... but without my fingers I don'...

this is going to soud a little crazy but if you don't care about the material look at a mannequin. They are scary close and all you have to do is cut them apart with a jig saw, add shoulder and side straps.

As promised here is today's update. Communication continues and Alan has advised the replacement should ship most likely Thursday.

In my opinion this would make a great fencing gorget. I've always had an issue with gapping in between the top of my gorget and my mask when I tilt my head back, this would definitely solve that problem.
