Re: Possibility of a new instruction set.
I think the magic number is at 11 now. I'm gonna be going ahead with them anyway so it's really just a matter of when I get the time to get them done. Construction pics are all done so now need to gather some appropriate reference material, draw up presentable looking patterns in a few sizes and do ...

Thanks for the offer but I don't have money to spend on this. It's for a very silly purpose. But can trade.

WTT cheap lightweight aluminum mail shirt.
Looking for something really cheap and lightweight won't be used for combat. Butted is fine. Will trade armour for it. I've got a 46" chest.

Re: Possibility of a new instruction set.
Just checked my camera 70 pics which will end up getting edited down a bit for just the knee. Might do the soupcan knee along with elbow instructions and patterns as a seperate set and then exclude it from the splinted leg set. Would that be irritating? Wanted to show every pass and step in shaping ...

Re: Possibility of a new instruction set.
Part way through pics for splinted legs and greaves. And realized there's a lot of work in the how to part of the soupcan knee for the legs and not a whole lot for the greaves. Since people decided I need to charge more then I originally was for the CoP set I'd like suggestions on pricing on these. ...

Looking for public domain reference pics for splinted legs
So since I'm probably doing instruction sets for splinted legs and greaves soon I'm hoping I can find some public domain pics of effigies or artwork showing splinted legs and greaves to include with the instruction sets. If anyone can point me to some or if anyone has personally taken pictures I cou...

Oops just realized I used exactly the same thread title as Jentien. Who has an actual emergency viewtopic.php?f=3&t=133830 this thread is just silly and not aimed at anyone and inspired more by the custom air guitar then anything. Help her out if you can.

Also just in case anyone's offended by this auction I also have a sense of humour for sale.
Unfortunately though the sense of humour is not transferable to your mother in law etc. If it was I'd have given it to my mom a long time ago.

For sale one emergency. I have too many of them. We'll run it as an auction and start the bidding at $5. Auction ends when this becomes too silly and drops off the board.

Re: OT Work boots work shoes??
If you're working indoors the steel workers boots (for people who work erecting the steel in steel buildings) have a softer sole and will be easier on your feet. The soles in them isn't as durable though but are pretty well suited to walking on a concrete floor. Good boots makes the world of differe...

Re: What's the best way to dish?
I use metal form metal hammer for a lot of stuff. Remember though knitbee it's not for beginners though since you can royally screw what you're working on by accidentally hitting in the wrong spot. A stump with more mass to it would make you much much happier. You can dish things tons of different w...

The #7 coat of plates is about the only one that's not gonna be too heavy in 16ga. All those things you listed can be done cold except proper greaves. The gorget ends aren't lining up? Stick the end between something (even the boards on a deck anything stationary will do) grab at the middle and twis...

Re: Blued hourglass finger gauntlets.
Elcheapo hammers. So they're not hard. Not hitting too hard either. I find a hammer handle much easier to hang onto then a vertical punch handle. Less vibration and hand is away from the hitting hammer if you miss. I actually use 2 different ball peens a more round one and a pointy one. they're $3 n...
