Just wanted to let you know. The rolled edges comment was a joke about someone else. Blankenshield. And wasn't any kind of serious. I didn't comment on the armour because I've never really looked at it all that well. But I've never heard of a bad business deal with you. And wanted to post that DIY i...

They stock them I think you just go to their store in toronto. BTW they're also your best bet for buckles etc and leather tools as well. Capital findings is the name of the store they're near eglington and caledonia. You can also try princess auto but I haven't been for a long time. You can also pro...

Here's how to take good pictures of armour easily.
Seen some crappy pics around today. I've posted this before but I'll do it again because it's so easy. Step 1 go outside with your armour during the day. Step 2 make sure the flash on your camera is turned off. Step 3 put some kind of plain backdrop behind it so the armour really sticks out in the p...

Here's a really crappy pic of one of them keep in mind that a flash makes armor look like crap and this is taken with a flash on my workbench. I'll be taking proper pictures when they're done. You're more then welcome to call dibs on them and ask for an enclosed thumb tip and then back out if you do...

The wisby fingermittens are still available and the hourglass ones are sold pending being finished and payment. Thumbs and gloves are going in tomorrow which means they'll be finished. So if you want the wisby ones now's the last chance to ask for enclosed thumbtip. I used 60-61 t-6 splints in the c...

I'm not going to comment on the armour itself. I've never ever heard of a bad business dealing with dark victory. You send your money you get your stuff. Which isn't something that can often be said about armories. Also if you don't want to do the work of making your own crappy plastic armour the pr...

I use my electric shear. A beverly or knockoff will work too (better actually). If using an electric shear you need to make sure that the travel distance of the moving blade is greater then the thickness of the leather and for any type of shear with an adjustable blade gap you want no gap for cuttin...

So who's got original authentic armour pieces post em here.
It was mentioned in the triangular roll thread wondering about how many of us have bits and pieces of originals. So hopefully we can share what we've got on this thread. It'll give us a collection of stuff we can request specific angles on. And let us see stuff we haven't seen before. Only authentic...

I've had a pair of arms come back after 2 years of very frequent use in multiple different hema combat types for some maintenance. Sword blades will end up putting some dings in the edges and they have the possibility of a little bit of a bend in them but other then that you're fine. Oops just read ...

m I found it. It's an ugly helmet. It is not thick enough to be SCA legal. 1.5mm on the visor sca minimum which is not really enough is 1.6mm or .0625 It's a crap helmet made in india at prices that are really high. Unless you think it's pretty and want to spend $200 on something to put on your mant...

Just keep plugging away. Everything will get finished and the fact that you're communicating means there's not likely to be any hard feelings. It'll all get done. When you need to take a breath take one. I've never ordered anything from you. But I've been in the situation where I had a whole pile of...

So if I were to make aluminum wisby style fingermittens?
How excited would you be? I'm thinking about attempting this. I'm not sure if it will work out or not due to if the aluminum lets me shape it like that or not. They would be a different style for the fingers. they'd have plates similar to my finger gauntlets with a plate over each finger bone and a ...

Larmer it's car door trim you can get it in the dress up section in automotive department at canadian tire. It has it's own adhesive and I'm told holds up to rattan as well. I think it cost me $8 which was enough for 2 shields. Comes in chrome and black it's plastic. I'm sorta maybe taking orders. H...
