Just wanted to let you know. The rolled edges comment was a joke about someone else. Blankenshield. And wasn't any kind of serious. I didn't comment on the armour because I've never really looked at it all that well. But I've never heard of a bad business deal with you. And wanted to post that DIY i...

Depending on the width of the piece if you're running it through a slip roller you need to set it to roll 2-3 times smaller circumference. And if you're using .09 or something you need 3" rollers so it's gonna be useless. Yeah beat it over a pipe and swear a lot. Like I said you want to hit it ...

It doesn't throw hard hammers back at you if you hit it hard with them.

Basically though curving aluminum vambraces involves a LOT of swearing.

I used a 4 pound weighted rawhide. You need to hit it right next to a pipe that's about half the circumference you want to end up with.

Here's how to take good pictures of armour easily.

Seen some crappy pics around today. I've posted this before but I'll do it again because it's so easy. Step 1 go outside with your armour during the day. Step 2 make sure the flash on your camera is turned off. Step 3 put some kind of plain backdrop behind it so the armour really sticks out in the p...

I use my electric shear. A beverly or knockoff will work too (better actually). If using an electric shear you need to make sure that the travel distance of the moving blade is greater then the thickness of the leather and for any type of shear with an adjustable blade gap you want no gap for cuttin...

So who's got original authentic armour pieces post em here.

It was mentioned in the triangular roll thread wondering about how many of us have bits and pieces of originals. So hopefully we can share what we've got on this thread. It'll give us a collection of stuff we can request specific angles on. And let us see stuff we haven't seen before. Only authentic...

I've had a pair of arms come back after 2 years of very frequent use in multiple different hema combat types for some maintenance. Nothing at all wrong with the space infantry helmet. It is what it is and doesn't claim to be anything else. Why the hell not make a space infantry helmet.

Really though if you just think it looks neat and ok with the price go ahead. If you want to fight in it keep looking.

m I found it. It's an ugly helmet. It is not thick enough to be SCA legal. 1.5mm on the visor sca minimum which is not really enough is 1.6mm or .0625 It's a crap helmet made in india at prices that are really high. Unless you think it's pretty and want to spend $200 on something to put on your mant...

So if I were to make aluminum wisby style fingermittens?

How excited would you be? I'm thinking about attempting this. I'm not sure if it will work out or not due to if the aluminum lets me shape it like that or not. They would be a different style for the fingers. they'd have plates similar to my finger gauntlets with a plate over each finger bone and a ...
