Sorry. I'm based in Indianapolis. Between the logistics of rattan and that the bulk of my vacation days are used for Pennsic and Gulf Wars, it just doesn't work for me to get out there. I'd love to someday, though.

If it's not called a cigarette, what's it called and are there any slang names for it and smoking in general? Like I said, I need to check, but I believe the term is cigarillo at that point. In modern usage, cigarillo is a small cigar (tobacco wrapped in tobacco). But I need to check notes that are...

Waiting on some more ILL books. And for my wife to dig out her Spanish legal history texts. In the meantime, one interesting side note is that cigarettes are documented to the 16th c. from about 1570, in Spain. Lower class Spanish would take the cigar stub left by the wealthy and roll the tobacco in...

The Low Profile and Low Compression are both legal SCA-wide. I'm afraid I don't know if Calontir has adopted the Low Compression.

Someone (either Sir Palymar or Sir Jafar, iirc) brought one to our practice for one or two weeks. Just the plain rod. And, like you said, no effort at all and it hit in what I call the 'authoritative' range. A couple of us took 'normal' effort shots. I don't think anyone asked for a second one.
