What's an "automatic authorization"? Some Kingdoms (not sure it's SCA-wide) grant chivalry authorizations in all weapons, and/or marshal status with the accolade. Oof. Do authorizations "expire" in those kingdoms too? I don't remember what it is here, but if you don't fight for ...

Just look for hockey elbow pads like these:

All likely true, it is unlikely such a suit could win. But it doesn't mean that a suit couldn't be brought that would mightily disrupt the AA. "Winning" for such a litigant might not be a monetary judgment, but the bringing down of the AA or JT.
