Anna,

I'm wondering if any of the Zunft/Wanderjahr hats would be convertable in this way?

(Note for non-Germans - German apprentice roofers, carpenters and whatnot wear outlandish clothes while on their journeyman year. Imagine an Amish person as seen in the Yellow Submarine movie...)

theres no real authority for a marshal, from a _corpora_ standpoint, to bounce someone with a Kermit the Frog on their helmet. We're hijacking the thread here, but Maeryk, there absolutely is corpora authority. In the Earl Marshal "job description" part of corpora you will find: "The Earl Marshal b...

If any other medieval martial artist and teacher of Paul's caliber were willing - especially from a WMA background - then I think it would be fabulous if they had their own virtual "classroom". At my first Pennsic, on the day of the great field battle, a fighter from the East crossed the battlefield and moved towards the unit where I, a very new and utterly lousy fighter, was standing. He greeted us, and peered into all our helmets until he recognised my face. Smiling, he showed me a penda...

The German town (with a US base) has two castles too, but not on this scale.

Erm, I'm guessing this is your personal patron rather than your national patron, which would be St Edmund or St George, depending on your date. St Michael is usually depicted trampling on Satan, who is often shown as a dragon. Thus, Ss Michael and George both often depicted trampling on dragons. It'...

Well, most of the Angevin lands listed above were lost at the beginning of the C13, so after that only really "Gascony" is left. It's wrong to think of it as a unit, so lets say that in 1259 (that's the map I have handy) only Gascogne, Perigord, most of Guyenne (Aquitaine), most of Seintongue et Ang...
